We are all guilty of eating it….food that is absolutely HORRIBLE for us!! We know it’s bad, but something about it draws us to it.
My personal favorite is Chicken & Waffles, and Tacos (not in the meal order)…I can eat that literally every single day…however, my waistline and my heart would suffer.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest has released its 2017 Xtreme Eating Awards, “honoring” dishes served up at major restaurant chains that aren’t the healthiest options.
The awards cover all kinds of food categories, from steak, eggs, and pasta, to milkshakes and chocolate cake.
These dishes “honored” serve up thousands of calories, and are loaded with sodium and saturated fat.
Here are some of the winners:
Least Original Breakfast
That honor goes to IHOP (another favorite spot of mine) to their Cheeseburger Omelette! With a side of 3 Buttermilk Pancakes (not to mention the butter and 2 tablespoons of syrup you will likely add to it)
Worst Adapted Pasta
That honor goes to the Cheesecake Factory’s Pasta Napoletana, which piles Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, and bacon on pasta that’s been greased with butter and cream.
Worst Cheese in a Leading Role
For me cheese is the perfect addition to any meal…but it’s not in this one. Buffalo Wild Wings started serving its Cheese Curd Bacon Burger. With a side of fries, you’re looking at the equivalent of roughly five Bacon Double Cheeseburgers.
