People like to say “no one goes to the mall anymore”. Clearly that’s not the case for Connecticut teens looking for a fight.

Thursday December 26th (the day after Christmas!) 3 separate fights broke out at 3 different malls in the state. One juvenile was arrested at Westfarms Mall in West Hartford. Later in the day around 6pm hundreds of kids were involved in a huge fight at Connecticut Post Mall in Milford. Which even forced the mall to close for the rest of the night. Then, not to be outdone, 7 were arrested in a melee at Westfield Trumbull to close out the day.

It will be interesting to see if this forces these malls follow suit like some others in the state, like Buckland Hills in Manchester, to implement curfews for teens. Not just during the holidays but all year round.

I do find it convenient that all these kids waiting until the day AFTER Christmas to fight. When Santa was NOT watching anymore. Safe to say they will all be on his naughty list for next year. Because as we all know, Santa is ALWAYS watching.
