It’s a sad day for fans of live music in Connecticut today. After months of the same 10 people in the town bitching about nonsense the Toyota Oakdale Theatre was ordered to go dark last night.
The Oakdale Theatre says it will continue to fight the charges and work with neighbors to keep the sound inside the building. An online petition has more than 10,000 signatures to save the iconic theater. Andrea Case says she signed it because to shut it down would be to lose a part of Wallingford’s history.
There will be another meeting on June 8th for the owners of the Oakdale to show how they have fixed the problems.
In the meantime here are a few things in Connecticut that these complainers in Wallingford should be more concerned about that are much louder than whatever noise the Oakdale has going on.
