A new study came out showcasing the most stressed out states. And topping the list? Florida. Why are they so stressed out? They’re a bunch of drunks partying in the sun.
How do you think CT did? We must have made it in the Top 10–at least, right? Almost, CT is the 16th most stressed out state, which is pretty high, but not as high as it seems we should be.
Here are the stressors we have to deal with on a daily basis living in CT:
No explanation needed.
According Transportation of America, 407 bridges that are managed locally and by the state are “structurally deficient”. Fix them??? I guess CT will cross that bridge when they come to it…if it’s still up.
And remember last week, all the delays that were caused by the bridge in Norwalk not going down? That bridge alone made people want to jump off of it.
Drivers in our state aren’t safe anywhere. Officials with the state Department of Transportation said the potholes on highways are the “worst they have seen in 10 years.”
4. MINOR LEAGUE SPORTS
It’s bad enough that are state is divided between the New York and Massachusetts Major League Teams because we don’t have our own….but we can’t even seem to handle Minor League teams! Whalers? New Haven Ravens? The Beast of New Haven? And all this scandal with the Rock Cats sleazily moving to Hartford. It’s just too much–I need a stiff one.
5. WILD ANIMALS
Living in Connecticut means constantly looking over your shoulder in fear of a wild animal lurking around the corner. Bob cats, moose, even bears..and we are just not equipped to handle these sightings.
And now for some reason, the state thinks TOLLS will help ALLEVIATE the traffic?! That’s toTOLLally dumb.
The fact that “Connecticut Weather” is a term we use to describe our weather can drive a man to the brink. I just want to know what I should wear to work! Do I need a light sweater–or a frickin winter coat today?!
8. SO MANY VOICES
A study came out recently showing the most Googled things per state. Along with Wu Tang, “Hearing Voices” is one of the most searched terms by CT residents. Is is that haunted here, or are we all just slowly losing our minds?
9. TOO MANY PIZZA CHOICES
Our strength may also hinder our ability to live a peaceful life in this state. Making decisions is a stressful task and when it comes to deciding which pizza in CT to eat, you are signing up for a panic attack.
So: Pepe’s or Modern??
