If you end up watching Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives as much as I do, you’ll know the feeling of turning on the Food Network show to see the man with the signature frosted tips in Connecticut is one of the oddest feelings in the world. Nevertheless, the chef has visited a bunch of places in CT, namely in Fairfield County, and it turns out I have been to half of them.
1. The Black Duck Café (Westport)
Three words: cheese stuffed burgers. This restaurant is literally falling into the sound, but that doesn’t stop this famous dive that advertises its Friday night live music and television-famous burgers. The burgers are stuffed with brie, cheddar, or blue cheese and placed on a brioche bun that is toasted to excellence and paired with golden fries that make the whole thing go down that much smoother. A great brunch, lunch, and dinner place for anyone of any age, with delicious surf and turf for everyone.
