Lions and tigers and gators, oh my! An alligator was spotted in a lake in East Lyme, sparking concerns from the DEEP.

The reason for the concern, and this comes from someone who isn’t an animal expert…is that alligators really have never made an appearance in the Constitution state.

In 2016, there was a reported sighting of a full-sized alligator on the banks of the Connecticut River in Suffield. That turned out to be a 4-foot long plush toy.

Regardless of the size, there’s still an alligator (allegedly) in the water…so watch your big toes!
