Sixty-seven people were forced out of their homes last night because of a three alarm fire that happened in Hartford’s North End. The plus side? Only minor injuries for two people- a resident and a firefighter. That is amazing considering how bad the fire was. According to WFSB, Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra said “Our firefighters have made a very valiant and fearless effort to combat this fire and fight it externally”.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are without a home now and simple life necessities. The American Red Cross provided them with blankets, and emergency food, and most of the families are staying in a hotel. Donations can be made to the Red Cross in Hartford. Toiletries are a huge necessity for these people!
