No need to go to a theater just to see the trailer for the much anticipated Batman v. Superman movie, being directed by Zack Snyder.  Every trailer leaks nowadays, so paying money to see a junky movie just for the coming attractions is waaayyy too expensive. I’m not even sure if this was truly a leak, I first saw it on Zack Snyder’s Twitter account. Here’s the link if you haven’t seen it: BvSTrailer

Of course there’s mixed reactions online, and there are two trends. Those who have not read the graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns from 1986 really don’t like this trailer, even when it’s explained to them. Batman fighting Superman? It can be a hard idea to wrap your head around. Those of us who have read the graphic novel, we are giddy with excitement! It looks dark, gritty and carries the same messages as the novel. The movie seems to pretty much be following the same plot as the novel which is one of my favorites in all of comics.

However, I’ve heard that there will be other superheroes from the DC Universe in this flick. That scares me. If DC is making this film just to catch up to Marvel’s Avengers then it is doomed to be way to crowded and confusing; ultimately failing. Don’t screw this up Zack Snyder ! (Anyone else remember the Watchmen atrocity?) I’m hoping that the focus of the film is on the plot of Batman and Superman being on a collision course for an epic showdown, and the other heroes are kinda sprinkled in as afterthoughts. It’s about a year away from hitting theaters so things can still change. I’m all in. Are you?
