In a surprise to no one a new Q poll suggests that residents of Connecticut are a-okay with medical AND recreational weed.
The margin is fairly close, 52 to 45 for, but it is still a majority. Predictably the old folks are more likely to be against it while the youth are all about the stank. I found it interesting that almost half the respondents, 47%, admitted to trying marijuana.
The split between is approval for medical weed vs recreational is wide. 90% of respondents approved of medical use but their support dropped when there was a chance the dispensary would be in their town. The old “Not in my backyard” mentality.
CT residents also support armed guards in schools and the return of metal detectors according to another Q poll.
What do you think? Guns? Weed? Both?
