Did you know that Connecticut has a movie museum? It’s only open for one month a year for the past 50 years.

And…it’s open now!

The Witch’s Dungeon Classic Movie Museum has been an annual tradition in Bristol, and is possibly the country’s longest running Halloween attraction. Or so says USA Today.

It might seem like just a wax museum, but it’s more legit than terrible Madame Tussauds, because it features actual movie props. The virtual tour video gives an example of what you can expect:

Plus memorabilia from other movies, like:

  • The Exorcist
  • E.T.
  • Planet of the Apes
  • Raisers of the Lost Ark
  • Closer Encounters of the Third Kind
  • Mars Attacks!
  • All the classic Universal Monsters – Dracula, the Mummy, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Phantom of the Opera
  • …and way more!

And they’ll be doing special screenings throughout the month. And this year’s display is the biggest one that they’ve ever done.

They’ve moved this year to the Bristol Historical Society and are open every weekend now through Halloween.
