Talk about genius!  While the majority of Connecticut hemmed and hawed about shoveling, Stew’s saw opportunity.  Lots and lots of opportunity.

Introducing: Mount Stew!  Because what else can you do with a pile of snow?  I mean, Connecticut could use a little extra fun.   And another attraction.

Instead of plowing the snow off into God-knows-where from their parking lots, Stew’s made a mountain out of it.   Currently, Mount Stew stands at 100 feet long, 12 feet tall, and 40 feet wide.

So, here’s a perfectly free and fun opportunity to take your little ones sledding.  You can find Mount Stew across the street in the staff parking lot.

Stew Leonard’s just had this to say about it:

“While Mt. Stew is not staffed, local children are of course welcome to take a spin down Mt. Stew.”

If you’re curious about what it looks like, here’s a video of President and CEO Stew Leonard Jr. taking his little red sled on a test drive!
