Festival of Silver Lights: Hubbard Park in MERIDEN

Description: A spectacular display with 200,000 white lights and more than 300 lighted characters throughout the Park. Displays in trees, on the ponds and nestled in the natural habitat.

Winterfest Hartford: Bushnell Park in Hartford

Description: Skate for free seven days a week at the ice rink on the east side of Bushnell Park near the Pump House.

Santa’s Workshop: Wickham Park in Manchester

Description: Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa and his elves and refreshments with Mrs. Claus.

 

First Night Hartford: Downtown
Dates: December 31, 2014
Description: Hartford’s premier New Year’s Eve event. Each year thousands of families and friends of all ages attend this friendly alcohol free celebration. Two fireworks displays at 6 p.m. and midnight in Bushnell Park. Free ice skating until 1 a.m.. The day is full of uniquely special experiences and countless performances at multiple downtown venues and churches.
