The post-Oscar, pre-Avengers movie train keeps on rollin’ with stops planned this weekend in the two most opposite places possible. On one side of the movie theater we’ve got a star-studded reimagining of a classic fairytale, and on the other side we’ve got Liam Neeson doing Liam Neeson things. It’s March (cine)Madness, baby!

With a cast of actors that fans of both Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey will recognize, Cinderella is the latest entry in an emerging trend in movies – the re-imagined fairy tale. Snow White & The Huntsman, Maleficent, Into the Woods, and Alice in Wonderland are all examples of major studios dusting off classic animated tales and getting them all shined up for the chance to launch a new live action franchise. At the center of this version of Cinderella stands Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, Lily James (cousin Rose from Downton Abbey), and THE KING IN THE NORTH Richard “Robb Stark” Madden. Get your Red Wedding jokes ready to lob at the screen.

WHAT’S IT ABOUT: After her father unexpectedly dies, young Ella (Lily James) finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and stepsisters, who reduce her to scullery maid. Despite her circumstances, she refuses to despair. An invitation to a palace ball gives Ella hope that she might reunite with the dashing stranger (Richard Madden) she met in the woods, but her stepmother prevents her from going. Help arrives in the form of a kindly beggar woman who has a magic touch for ordinary things.

Perhaps the exact polar opposite of Cinderella’s glitz and glamour stands Run All Night, a revenge driven movie starring a cast of guys you would be scared to look at the wrong way. Liam Neeson continues in his middle-aged and crazy action movie marathon, this time adding Ed Harris and Joel “Robocop” Kinnaman. If you’re a fan of the Taken franchise, modern day gangster flicks, or anything starring Jason Statham, Run All Night is probably a safer bet for you than glass slippers and the fancy ballroom dancing laden Cinderella.

WHAT’S IT ABOUT: When his estranged son (Joel Kinnaman) becomes a mob target, an aging hit man (Liam Neeson) must figure out where his loyalties lie and how to save his offspring from a deadly fate.
