One week removed from Brad Pitt’s war epic Fury dethroning Gone Girl and Guardians of the Galaxy surpassing both the Captain America and Spider-Man sequels, we’ve got another big weekend at the box office scheduled as Keanu Reeves’s John Wick takes on the Halloween appropriate Ouija.

First up is John Wick, a movie about a hitman who comes out of retirement when his dog is killed. I completely understand and support his decision to take whatever action he deems necessary. The world seems to agree with me as John Wick currently holds a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s been a long time since Keanu was a movie with that kind of buzz. Could this be the beginning of the Keanussance?

WHAT’S IT ABOUT: An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him.

Going up against the potential return of Keanu Reeves’s box office greatness is Ouija– a spooky Halloween thriller in the vein of The Conjuring, Paranormal Activity, and Annabelle. Ouija has spent years bouncing around from studio to studio in Hollywood and will finally debut this weekend to take it’s place as the scariest board game movie adaptation of all time. That is of course until Hungry Hungry Hippos makes it’s way to the big screen.

WHAT’S IT ABOUT: A group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board.
