Mmmm… doughnuts…  warm, fluffy, sugary pillows of heaven.

Seriously, it’s been a great week food in Connecticut!  First, we won the age old battle against TEXAS over who invented the burger and now, we can brag about having some of the best doughnuts in America!

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a resounding applause to Dottie’s Diner in Woodbury for making it a second year in a row on the 33 Best Doughnut Shops in America, as voted by Thrillist.

Dottie’s Diner also boasts of having the best doughnut as voted by Connecticut Magazine.  Plus, we can’t forget when owner Dorie Sperry won season two of “Donut Showdown” on the Cooking Channel.

There’s a swath of awards this little diner collected over the years.  Seriously, check them out.

So if you want to know what it’s like to bite into an award winning recipe, you know where to get your munch on!
