If you learn one thing about Connecticut in your life, this is it. The single best thing to ever come out of Connecticut isn’t our pizza. It isn’t the invention of the hamburger. It isn’t any of that stuff.
Connecticut’s single greatest export is a man by the name of Daym Drops. And if you don’t know who Daym Drops is, your life is about to get a whole lot better.
I first met Daym when I stumbled upon his famous Five Guys Burgers & Fries SUPER OFFICIAL food review on YouTube. The video has topped 8 million views since it was posted back in 2012, and there is a very good reason for it. Just look:
No matter what food the man is reviewing, his excitement and passion for the food in front of him is off the charts. He’s funny. He’s quotable. He speaks truth to food’s power.
So with The Big E fair and all of its zany fair foods upon us, it’s only natural that Daym would get in on the action. Daym went out with WTNH’s Ryan Kristafer for a Cruisin’ Connecticut segment to The Big E to sample 3 Connecticut foods appearing at the fair, and he stole the show.
Look, Connecticut is known for a lot of things, but only one of those things has produced a YouTube video I will watch again and again no matter how many times I’ve seen it. In fact, it’s now decided and super official: My new goal in life (and a goal that you should have for yourself) is to have some 5 Guys with Daym. We can’t all be lucky as WTNH’s Kristafer, but we can all dream that maybe one day we will be.
