This is such great timing! Today is International Women’s Day and March Women’s History Month, my favorite financial website WalletHub took a look at which states are the best for women.
They based these results on two different categories, social and economic well-being, and health care and safety.
Good old Connecticut is one of the top states for women.
Connecticut ranked 10th overall. In social and economic well-being, the state ranked 16th. The got these results based on earnings, unemployment, poverty, and equality. Connecticut also placed fourth in lowest percent of poverty among women.
In the category of health care and safety, Connecticut placed fourth. The state also placed fourth in highest life expectancy among women.
You may be asking…what state is the best for women…that honor goes to Minnesota! They were ranked as the best in economic and social well-being and fourth best in health care and safety.
The worst state for women is Mississippi ranking lowest in economic and social well-being and third lowest in health care and safety.
