I will never understand the counterfeit money criminal mind. Has anyone in the history of crime ever got away with this successfully? It just seems so hard to really pull it off with how crazy these bills look now. I guess the one advantage you have with doing it at a location like the Hamden Gap is the minimum wage cashier working there probably isn’t paying THAT much attention. Your craft project fake bills may slide by without notice.

The problem with is, this guy tried to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill! Why would you ever go with a hundo?! If commit to the decision to use fake money, wouldn’t you maybe try with smaller bills? Whipping out a Ben Franklin always causes alarm. Even if it’s real. Next time you’re trying to pull a fast one by the poor Gap employees just so you can buy a new hoodie try starting with $20s and $10s.
