It’s been about a week since CT Boom covered the unexpected number of UFO sightings in Connecticut, but we’re already adding to the total.
After learning that 2016 saw 75 sightings in Connecticut, we were ready for Connecticut to light it up in 2017. We had no idea our state was such a hotbed for alien activity, but we’ve basically got nothing else going for us, so we’re choosing to embrace the weird.
Which is why we’re happy to learn that, according to Guilford Patch, a resident in Guilford has already claimed the first Connecticut UFO sighting of the year. Normally, this is the kind of thing we’d be skeptical of without some kind of hard evidence, but you can’t really argue with a report that features paragraphs like these:
According to whoever made the reported sighting they said, “There are round shapes burned into the grass in a field near my house. They are visible from google earth and show up in every secluded field in town. There are hundreds of them. I would be happy to show you and send some pictures I have taken. 2 years ago I saw what looked like a gray saucer leaving from this area. Happy hunting.”
That’s the kind of infallible journalistic integrity we like to see when it comes to UFO sightings! No names, no sources, just “According to whoever made the reported sighting they said…”
The fact that this sighting reportedly took place at 2 a.m. has me thinking the person who claimed was either high, drunk, or crazy. But until they figure out what made that giant, house-shaking mystery boom earlier this year, we’re pretty much ready to believe anything.
