Get ready for the sunshine, Connecticut, because it’s a-coming!
After one of the warmest winters our state has ever seen, it’s time to look ahead to what the summer will hold. And, wouldn’t you know it, it’s more warm temperatures!
According to the CT Post, the National Weather Service released its projections for summer weather and New England is looking at “above average temperatures from May through August.”
I know, deep down, that all of this warm weather is probably a sign of things to come. Extreme weather will become more frequent. Oceans will rise. Living in the coastal United States will become impossible without SCUBA gear. So on and so forth.
But damn, it is hard not to love a sunny Saturday outside in Connecticut. Fire up the grill, go for a hike, play with the dogs, and hit the couch at 9PM as the last bits of light fade from the sky. There’s something unbeatable about that kind of day, and we’re going to have a whole lot of them this summer!
So, I’m sorry Earth/environment/rest of humanity and its future, but with science pretty much saying that it’s too late to do anything about global climate change, we might as well kick back and enjoy this wild ride into oblivion. Suns out, guns out!
