I know, it’s a weird thing to celebrate. But, come on, there’s still leaves on the trees and flowers coming out of the ground. Not to mention a mosquito bit me the other day. This isn’t the fall I know and love.
Somewhere in the distance, Al Gore is still screaming “Global Warming.” This year made me a true believer.
Anyways, all this warm weather certainly messed with quite a lot of people,. How bad were your allergies this year?
Thankfully, a cold front will finally end the sneezing, coughing, and picking off ticks. It’s supposed to arrive tonight and bring things down to the 50’s for the next three days, and then to the low 40’s by mid-to-late-week.
Also, you might feel tempted to put your heat on starting tonight as overnight temps hit the 30’s and, sometimes, into the mid 20’s. Which means you can really break out the fuzzy fall blankets this time and leave them out.
It also means that wonderful first bug-killing frost is on the way. We just have to wait a few more days.
Along with cooler weather will also come lots of cloud cover and rain. Which, as indicated by our drought meter, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
So, if you’ve been dying to wear that adorable new pair of Ugg rain boots, your chance is finally here. Go forth and frolick in the cool crisp weather because it’s here to stay this time!
Will you miss the 70-degree weather or are you so over it? Me, I’m ready for snow. Bring it!
