It’s Friday. We’ve all spent the last 5 days (or more) working hard. The weekend is finally here and we deserve a little time to ourselves.
And here at CT Boom, we can think of no better way to kick off that “us time” than with adorable videos of animals. So, without further ado, we present to you little lion cubs trying to roar like their very-full-sized lion dad:
Alright, so there’s no denying that the best part of this video is the cubs. They’ve got some pep in their step. They have adorable little lion paws. They’re trying to act all big and bad and King of the Jungle like their dad and just failing in the cutest way. That’s why we’re all watching.
But can we just take a moment hear to appreciate how pants-crappingly scary dad’s roar is? There is a reason the lion runs the show in the animal kingdom. It’s because, at night, when any other animal hears that sound, they know they’re in trouble. The lion doesn’t even have to actually do anything – that roar alone is a better defense tool than most other critters have.
Imagine if you were going for walk, day or night, whenever or wherever. And suddenly, out of a nearby bush, you hear that roar. There is a 100% chance you are sprinting away as fast as you can while screaming at the top of your lungs. No way you do anything else. Respect the roar.
Now, back to the cubs here, I like to imagine that even though the sound they make is clearly nothing like the sound their dad makes, the cubs still think it sounds the same. And since there’s a few of them, you know the sibling rivalries are kicking in. Later that day as they’re having lunch or whatever, you know they’re talking smack about which one of them sounded most like pops. And even though none of them did, you have to admire the effort. So cute.
