If your kid is into bowling…Kids Bowl Free at Laurel Lanes in Plainville and Silver Lanes in East Hartford. All you have to do is sign them up for this national program and your kids will receive two free games of bowling daily, all summer long. Does your kid love nature??? They could hunt for butterflies with the Connecticut Butterfly Association and learn about over 20 different species at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. This free event takes place Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. More info click HERE
Movies are always fun….For everyone..The Movies after Dark Summer Program features free movies in various parks every Friday all summer long. Some of the parks that participate are Elizabeth Park, Bushnell Park, Colt Park and more that will be showing movies like Rio, Annie, Jaws, Karate Kid, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Bow Tie Cinemas is providing free admission to certain movies as part of the Summer Film Series for kids at Palace 17 in Hartford. Beginning June 23 & 24 and running every Tuesday and Wednesday until August 18 & 19. Some of the movies shown will be Rio 2, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Mr. Peadbody & Sherman, The Croods, and Epic.
