Fund Raising Money for Elliot the Cat

Fund Raising Money for Elliot the Cat

Elliot the Cat has become a little celebrity in Connecticut this week. Not because he’s grumpy or adorable like other celebrity cats. He’s getting attention after a Connecticut Mayor found him laying on a porch with an arrow shot through him!

Elliot was supposedly used as target practice by some murderous asshole and was shot with a 15-inch arrow. Norwich Mayor Peter Nystrom found Elliot laying on a porch Monday afternoon while he was out campaigning for re-election. He immediately called the police and animal control brought Elliot to a veterinary ER in town.

The veterinarians at All Friends Animal Hospital say the arrow narrowly missed the jugular, the lungs and heart and was probably stuck in Elliot for about two days. Somehow they were able to remove the arrow and Elliot is up walking around and went back home happy.

The nice people who wouldn’t go around shooting cats are raising money to pay for Elliot’s medical bills. They’re hoping to raise $800. So far they have $200. You can donate here. Any additional money donated will go to other animals.

Well this is a serial killer in the making. Please find this sick individual before he kills something other than animals. How someone could do this to an animal is beyond me. If he did this to one of mine I would hunt them down and neuter them myself with a rusty butter knife. Kudo's to the mayor who found the kitty, hope this kitty is in the arms of someone who love him. Poor thing.

Were they able to pull prints from it? I wouldn't be surprised if this sick individual has a sheet. CTBOOM; Please respond/comment if u have that information or updates, thank you

I would strip the P.O.S. that did this naked, tie him up, and let hungry chickens pick him to pieces.

I AGREE WITH YOU ROSELI, THE MAYOR FOUND THE CAT, WHY CAN'T HE PAY THE BILL.

THE PERSON WHO SHOT THIS POOR CAT SHOULD BE SHOT WITH THE SAME ARROW OR HUNG BY  HIS BALLS.

GET BETTER SOON ELLIOT.

People are just disgusting. Ironic that is arrow hunting season too.. big brave idiots with their bow & arrows hunting cats..

Seeing how this mayor is running for election he should foot the bill. It'll boost his votes unless he staged this.

@DerekReidy That is not a hunting tip. That is a practice tip referred to as a field tip. This arrow was is probably a bolt fired from a cross bow. Arrows fired from compound or long bows are considerably longer than 15 inches.

@DerekReidy Most people are fine. It just takes one idiot to f*** it up for everybody else. Every bowhunter I have met is an honorable, law-abiding citizen, and bowhunters annually donate thousands of tons of deer meat to help feed the hungry.

@Randy1777 I didn't know that.. thank you for letting me know. Still is so damn brutal and pointless. Why harm an innocent cat?

@MikeButler I know.. I just get angry when I see crap like this. Around where I live, I've seen too many "hunters" trek out into the woods with a rifle in one hand and a cooler filled with beer in another. I'm not saying this is all hunters.. and frankly I do doubt the "person" that did this was one (my original comment was out of anger). Some people just have no compassion or sense of empathy at all.

@DerekReidy @MikeButler And we have no evidence whatsoever indicating whether or not this was from a hunter or just somebody out plinking in the back yard without verifying what is in front of AND behind the target. Some people have the mistaken idea that if it is not a gun, the safety rules don't apply.
