It’s a Christmas miracle!
For the first time in over four years, Connecticut motorists are paying less than $3.00 for a gallon of gas! According to AAA, the price of regular grade gas in Connecticut averaged $2.995. To put that into perspective, that’s almost a quarter less than last month and almost 70 cents less than last year! Before we jump for joy, let’s remember that as a state we still have the fourth highest gas prices in the country. Only people paying more than us are New Yorkers, Alaskans and Hawaiians. Missouri leads the way for the lowest prices averaging $2.62.
We can thank a crappy economy in Europe and less a demand from them for our “reasonable” prices. Could you imagine in 1997 saying that $3 a gallon for gas was reasonable?!
