You can say what you want about Geno Auriemma, but when you’ve coached a team (at any level) to the amount of success the UConn Women have had over the last few decades you are more than qualified to give advice to young athletes.

This clip is actually a year old. It happened during a press conference Geno did during the 2016 Final Four. Randomly it has gone viral this week thanks to baseball hitting coach Matt Lisle who posted it on his Facebook page. It now has almost 40 million views.

If you are a parent of an athlete or a young athlete yourself, you should take the next 2 minutes and 39 seconds to watch this if you haven’t seen it yet. It might be the best advice you’ll ever get.

Well said, Geno.
