If you live or work in Hartford and chose to ignore the parking ban there is a really good chance your car got towed. The city implemented a parking ban Sunday at 11pm and it continued until 9am today. In that span the city issued more than 700 tickets and had more than 500 cars towed.
This kept the 13 towing companies the city contracts with plenty busy and probably left a few people scratching their heads when they couldn’t find their cars. Some might have assumed they lost it under a snow drift. Ignoring the ban will be costly for those towed and ticketed. $99 gets your car out of impound and the ticket will cost you another $93.59. That is some expensive involuntary valet parking. If my math is right that works out to just over $65k in tickets for the city.
