In this week’s edition of people being terrible, NBC Connecticut reports that House of Bread Soup Kitchen in Hartford had three of its five air conditioning units damaged by vandals recently.
The air conditioning units were broken apart and parts were stolen, rendering them useless for the soup kitchen.
The Hartford Police Department are still looking for the suspects, and have asked that anyone with information come forward.
The kitchen serves around 800 people a day and is a safe, cool space for the homeless on hot summer days.
As we creep into the dog days of summer, that cool air is needed now more than ever.
These cowards better step forward. Stealing from a soup kitchen is just about one of the most despicable things you can do.
Especially taking the air conditioning from these people–the soup kitchen is one of the only places they can go to cool off.
