How many records can the UConn Women continue to break? It’s like they’re the basketball equivalent of Adele’s record-smashing “25.” They just keep coming!

You hear that? That’s the sweet sound of another record getting crushed beneath a giant husky paw, my friend.
UConn is just piling on the bragging rights, because now they’re the first school in history to provide all three top WNBA picks.
The brilliant Breanna Stewart is heading west to Seattle Storm as the first WNBA draft pick. She joins the legendary ranks of Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Tina Charles, and Maya Moore as the #1 WNBA draft pick from UConn.
But no one could predict what happened next. Another shocking record set by our girls!
Moriah Jefferson was picked second, snatched up by the San Antonio Stars… and then, UConn powerhouse Morgan Tuck was picked by our very own Connecticut Suns.
The season may be over, but the triple-threat stayed together one last time.
Another major delight came when Bria Holmes, of New Haven, became the first Connecticut native to be a first-round pick. She’s heading south with an Atlanta Dream jersey.
So, let’s count down the numbers.
Five times the #1 draft pick came from UConn. Four consecutive NCAA titles. The top three WNBA draft picks…
Yep. Feels great to be a Husky fan.
