Two years ago, the inaugural tour of the Oddball Comedy Festival came through Connecticut and made national headlines. It was the hottest ticket in town because Dave Chappelle was making his triumphant return to standup.
However, the night we had him was when he had his infamous meltdown.
Shockingly, the tour returned to the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford last August, this time with an even bigger lineup – with the biggest comedian in the world in Louis CK headlining. Plus, Aziz Ansari, Amy Schumer, and Sarah Silverman – and a surprise appearance by one Dave Chappelle. It was sold out and epic.
So naturally, we’re getting it for a third go around.
As announced today, this year’s tour is headlined once again by Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer. And if you thought Amy Schumer was a big star last year, she’s an even bigger deal this year – and will be after her movie “Trainwreck” comes out later this month.
Now you might be saying “well that’s the tour, that’s how it goes” – but, not every comedian appears at every performance. It’s rotating, and we’ve just managed to luck out every single time.
Plus we’re getting Anthony Jeselnik, Bridget Everett, Dave Attell, Jeff Ross, Nick Kroll and Nikki Glaser.
