Good news if you’re a Connecticut resident! Your chances of dying on Black Friday or getting into an altercation are pretty slim compared with the rest of the nation!

Estately.com determined which states are more likely to to get into fights on Black Friday and it turns out the further south you go, the more trouble you could be in.  They’ve calculated this by “interest shown in Black Friday” on Facebook and the amount of aggravated assaults in each state.

The states where you will most likely get punched in the face for a George Foreman grille include:

  1. Arkansas
  2. Tennessee
  3. Alabama
  4. Louisiana
  5. Missouri
  6. West Virginia
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Indiana
  9. Kansas
  10. South Carolina

(Insert corny “being from the south” Walmart jokes here)

Not shockingly, the states that are deemed the safest for Black Friday shopping are:

  1. Massachusetts
  2. Hawaii
  3. New Jersey
  4. Oregon
  5. Vermont
  6. Connecticut
  7. Washington
  8. Utah
  9. New Hampshire
  10. Colorado

Most likely if you live in Connecticut, you’ll be sitting on your couch with your MacBook Air ordering from Amazon.com while searching for coupon codes.  Your biggest threat is whether your black card will go over it’s seven million dollar limit.
