Hunter Hayes is trying to play 10 shows in 24 hours in six states this week. He came up with the idea after touring with The Flaming Lips who hold the World Record now for 8 shows. Besides getting his personal glory in taking the title, he’s using the 24 hour tour as a way to raise awareness for child hunger.

His “Hunter Hayes’ 24 Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger” starts Friday at 8am in New York and will last through Philly at 5am Saturday.

Here’s the schedule:

8 a.m.:  “Good Morning America” | New York City

9 a.m.: Paradise Rock Club | Boston

11:30 a.m.: Palladium Upstairs | Worcester, Mass.

1:45 p.m.: Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel | Providence, R.I.

4:15 p.m.: Garde Arts Center | New London

6:45 p.m.: Toad’s Place | New Haven

9 p.m.: Palace Theatre | Stamford

11:30 p.m.: South Orange Performing Arts Center | South Orange, N.J.

Saturday, 2 a.m.:  The Stone Pony | Asbury Park, N.J.

5 a.m.: Trocadero | Philadelphia |
