Let’s be real with ourselves… if you see the word “haunted” before any location, you probably want to go. I mean, who doesn’t want to experience a brush with the paranormal?
Then again, most people want to communicate with ghosts until they actually have to. I know, it’s pretty freaky.
So, OnlyInYourState has pinpointed Connecticut’s most haunted street that promises more than just ghosts. You can also find Connecticut’s very own cryptids there.
A cryptid is a creature that no one can prove exists but people believe they’re 100% legit. Like the Loch Ness Monster. Or Bigfoot. Or the perfect man.
Well, Connecticut has Melon Heads and they’re supposedly pretty deadly. They’re described as “mutant hospital escapees” that are also cannibals. And inbred. Yep. We’ve probably encountered one or two of them on Tinder.
Anyways, you can find them in abundance on Velvet Street (also called Dracula Drive) in Trumbull. Alongside a host of other supernatural activity that may make you want to head for the hills.
Velvet Street appears totally normal in the daytime. But, at night, it’s a whole different ballgame. People have reported their cars suddenly dying. Others claim they see shadowy figures on the side of the road. There’s also reports of hearing lots of strange noises. The souls of the dead? Or Melon Heads?
Legend says Velvet Street cuts right thought their territory.
Anyways, if you wanna check out if it’s haunted, go at night and pray that your cellphone doesn’t lose reception.
