Sunday afternoon Jordan Spieth gave fans the ultimate ending to fantastic week of golf at the Travelers Championship.
Jordan played well all week long. Sitting atop the leaderboard for most of the tournament at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell. But during Sunday’s final round Daniel Berger found a way to give Jordan a run for his money down the stretch. Leading to bonus golf with the two of them going head to head on the 18th for a playoff hole.
Both Berger and Spieth had iffy tee shots. Which lead to Jordan finding his way into the bunker. Setting the stage for a shot nobody will forget anytime soon.
The dream was real, @JordanSpieth.

I’ve watched this clip about 75 times since yesterday and it still doesn’t get old. The Travelers Championship couldn’t have scripted a better ending to a perfect week for Connecticut golf fans. The best player field in decades, Exciting golf all four days, one of the best in the world holing out for the win. Even Saturday’s weather which looked like Cromwell was going to get pummeled by nasty storms held off for the most part.
Congrats Jordan. Welcome to the Travelers Championship family. You are now part of Hartford golf history. Right up there with Arnie, Phil Michelson, Bubba Watson, and Russell Knox’s hat tossing finish last year. We hope to see you back in Cromwell again soon. We’ll make sure there is plenty of Bear’s BBQ when you return.
