When you hear that the Australian Pink Floyd Show is coming to Connecticut, you might think that it’s some random cover band, that also happens to be Australian.
You couldn’t be more wrong.
Since we all know that a Pink Floyd reunion will never, ever happen, this is really the closest thing to it – a truly faithful recreation of a Pink Floyd performance, complete with lasers, special effects, inflatables, and on their current “Best Side of the Moon Tour,” a full performance of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.
I got to chat with their keyboardist Jason Sawford who was there from the very beginning, when they began as a random cover band, through their evolution to a world touring act, and even a band that played for David Gilmour’s 50th birthday party:
They’ll be coming to the Toyota Presents Oakdale in Wallingford this coming Thursday, July 27.
