As a millennial, I take a lot of offense to whenever says my age group kills something. Killing the divorce rate is something we could all see decline and be okay with it!
A University of Maryland Study shows that the divorce rate has dropped by 18 percent between the years 2008 and 2016.
Researchers say it is because younger people are waiting longer to tie-the-knot and are being pickier about who they marry than people of their parent’s generation.
Given these newly married couples are older and more highly educated, the study also predicts the divorce rate will continue to drop.
So thanks, millennials, for killing something negative for once!
