Not to say I told you so… but I told you so. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is well on it’s way to making a billion dollars despite being nearly universally panned by critics. For some movies it just doesn’t matter how it looks, what your gut tells you, or what your friends say– you just need to see it for yourself.

BvS:DOJ is just a juggernaut and will continue to steamroll the box office. Luckily for Warner Brothers, it will do so with relative ease as there are no major releases coming out this week. This gives us a great chance for a lil’ Cinemadness forecast of what movies we can’t wait to see over the next few months:

APRIL

CAN’T WAIT FOR:

The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book occupies a special place in my heart, as I am sure it does for most people. Normally, reboots/remakes/reimaginings usually make me shrug hard and eye roll even harder, but my fingers are crossed for Disney’s live action Jungle Book. Plus Bill Murray is the voice of Baloo, so hopefully this leads to a Tailspin live action movie with Murray as the lead.

A CLOSE SECOND IS:
The Boss

HONORABLE MENTION:
Keanu

MAY

CAN’T WAIT FOR:
Captain America: Civil War

Marvel’s Civil War is one of my favorite comic book sagas of all time. Ever since Nick Fury appeared at the end of Iron Man, I knew the movie adaptation of Civil War was coming. Hopefully the print version and movie version of this story don’t end the same way. To dig deeper into this mysterious statement head to your local comic book shop.

A CLOSE SECOND IS:
X-Men: Apocalypse

HONORABLE MENTION:
The Nice Guys

JUNE

CAN’T WAIT FOR:
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

Mockumentaries are a really fun subgenre of movie, but don’t tend to make a lot of money at the box office. Hopefully The Lonely Island can prove me wrong with their effort surrounding a Beiber-like pop star named Conner. I’ve watched this trailer roughly 100 times and I laugh harder every time.

A CLOSE SECOND IS:
Finding Dory

HONORABLE MENTION:
Central Intelligence
