Today’s the first day of November, which kicks off NanoWriMo. NanoWriMo, aka National Novel Writing Month, is a month devoted to extreme writing.

So, how do you participate?

Basically, between Nov. 1 through Nov. 30, you write a 50,000 word novel — equal to about 1,600 words per day.

Now, you must be thinking holy crap that’s a lot. But, before you begin to panic, it’s pretty easy. I’ve managed to do it one year, and with the right tools finished a few days early. Curious on how I did that? Here are my tips on how to win at NanoWriMo.
