Most school children probably rose this morning, saw the snow and got excited that there would be no school. That was the case for pretty much every student in CT with the exception of Newington.
See, Supt. Dr. William Collins figures we should be used to this shit by now and these kids need their education. So he kept schools open. I am sure this made him not so popular with students and helicopter parents.
Line of the interview – “It’s winter in New England. Why wouldn’t we open?”
