With it being hump day and all, your brain needs a little mental break. You worked hard for the past three-ish days, so your brain needs a recharge. For example, it should be watching a relaxing video right about now to get you over the hump.
Lately, people love this whole “pulverizing random household items into putty” fad. Whenever I pull up a video, I can’t look away. Why do I find it so fascinating? What do I possibly get out of watching a hydraulic press crush a Barbie doll?
I don’t know, but I like it.
Maybe I’m secretly a violent person. Or, perhaps my brain finds some symbolism in these videos. Like, Barbie represents my hopes and dreams that wind up in the powerful crushing jaws of reality.
I don’t know what it is; but people obsess over these videos. What makes watching something smash, flatten, and utterly annihilate random objects beyond recognition so relaxing? It doesn’t matter how or why the object meets its inevitable destruction, either.
Hydraulic press, sledge hammer, powerful stream of water… we’re content either way.
Also, if that video into slow motion? Yeah, that makes it all the more satisfying.
Anyways, UNILAD found a pretty nifty video of someone rolling up a bunch of silicone. Downside: it’s not on slow motion… but it’s entertaining regardless.
Yeah, the worker takes this massive ball of silicone and throws it into a rolling machine. Several times. You can’t help but watch in awe as the mass changes bends, bows, and changes color, shape, and texture.
So, if your brain wants to take a little mental nap, watch this video. Your tired little self will probably thank you.
