With One Week To Go Until Nirvana Goes Into The Hall Of Fame, Let’s Watch Their 1991 Performance At New Haven’s The Moon
This coming Thursday, Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Arguably the single most important band of the 1990s, the honor is certainly deserved. However, it wasn’t until early 1992 that they became the biggest band in the world and changed music forever.
Which is why this video is even more impressive. A pre-fame Nirvana, playing New Haven’s former club The Moon. This video recording, with surprisingly great audio, is of almost their entire set – it sadly cuts out after about 45 minutes, but the rest of the audio is there…and it was recorded on September 26, 1991, just three days after Nevermind came out.
