I made that “thinking emoji” face when I first learned that historic Cannondale Village is on the market.  Like, the whole thing.  How can you buy an entire village that essentially is in Wilton?

On the site of the Cannondale train station, the 10.5 acres that includes an award winning restaurant (The Schoolhouse), and a mix of commercial and residential space is currently being offered for $6.85 million dollars.  Or so that’s what we’ve read.  Despite news outlets reporting that Sotheby’s International is marketing the property, we have yet to find any evidence of that online.

What Cannondale Village does have is tons of charm.  A general store, an artisan stop, an old English flower design shop, this is the place for small town history.  Despite it being a throw back, it does have it’s own website.

We’ll certainly keep an eye on this as we are curious as to who will take over this village in the heart of a bustling Fairfield County town.  But if we had to make a (sad) bet, we would guess one word: Condos.
