The casino conversation has been a hot topic in Connecticut for years now. We have the two major casinos Mohegan and Foxwoods. There has even recently been talk about a third coming into the state.
And now the latest casino buzz is about a possible airport casino at Bradley International.
Focus Gaming News reports…
The Connecticut Airport Authority board is discussing the possibility to develop a casino near an airport in its state.
US.- The Connecticut Airport Authority board is considering a proposal for a casino near Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.
According to the board’s agenda, the members will be discussing a negotiating strategy for potential development of a casino.
Officials from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos have been receiving proposals from several towns willing to host a US$300 million gambling facility that would house slots, table games, restaurants and bars. The Connecticut Airport Authority has also shown interest in having a casino at Bradley Airport.
This would be the craziest thing that’s ever happened in the state. Like flying in and out of Vegas! I guess the question becomes which major Connecticut casino would bite and make it happen. Foxwoods or Mohegan? Or maybe a possible third party? Either way, I hope we all get to double down, drink and yell while waiting for our flights sooner than later. This would totally make all those delays so much better.
