South Windsor Man Robs CVS for Pills
CVS can’t catch a break. I’m constantly reading stories about people stealing things from CVS. Of course people rob CVS for money, but I’ve read police reports showing shoplifters taking everything from pants stuffed full of deodorant to a hundred nail polish bottles into a tucked in sweatshirt. People are creative. I’ll give them that. Today there was another Connecticut thief- but his theft wasn’t really funny or amusing. He held up a CVS in South Windsor by gunpoint. You would assume that someone that would go to that extreme to rob a store wants money, right? No, he stole pills. Painkillers.
If you go through all that trouble of getting a gun, scaring the hell out of people and risking everyone’s life- You think they would have asked for a $20 or something, but no. Just painkillers. It makes you wonder if something else was behind his actions. What I found fascinating was that this man is described as being caucasian, in his 60′s, wearing a green pull over and a Boston Red Sox hat… Wait a minute… That’s it. He’s a Boston fan. He desperately needed the painkillers to help ease the pain of being a fan of the WORST team in the country.
Sorry, that was just too easy.
All kidding aside, no one was hurt in the robbery and South Windsor police are asking for the publics help if you can identify him or if you have any tips. Their number is 860-644-2551.
