Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, am I right?
Right. And State Street Café definitely takes that saying seriously.
Located on, you guessed it, State Street in North Haven, the café offers a delicious assortment of breakfast and lunch delicacies and is the perfect brunch destination.
The menu has some of your standard brunch staples — eggs, waffles, pancakes and French toast. You know, the standard stuff that you see on the menu in every diner. But, they offer so much more than those classics. I’m talking about pancakes that you can put crumbled bacon inside. Have a bit of a sweet tooth instead? They also offer Cinnamon Roll pancakes and Oreo pancakes. And, if you’re in the mood for a burger instead, they offer an L.A. Burger, which has avocado, bacon, cheddar cheese, and chipotle mayo.
My mouth is watering as I write this, folks.
And, the food not only sounds amazing, but tastes amazing as well. I’ve only had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and let me tell you, they are amazing. If you like the cinnamon roll pancakes that are served at Cinnabon, trust me you’ll want to check these out.
Yum. I don’t know about you all, but I’m getting hungry just writing about it. And with that assortment, you’re able to find something that even pleases the pickiest of eaters in your dining group. That’s something that is always a challenge, especially since I’m lactose intolerant and my best friend doesn’t eat meat.
What I also like about the State Street Cafe is its atmosphere. For those of you who have seen Gilmore Girls, it’s similar to a Luke’s Diner. It is small, cozy and everyone there usually knows each other.
However, unlike Luke’s, State Street Cafe is only open between 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., which is probably the only downside about it
With that being said, it’s definitely worth checking out
