Later this month, Primus will be coming back to Connecticut. Just a few years after headlining Gathering of the Vibes, they’ll bring their unique concert stylings to Waterbury’s Palace Theater.

But this month’s show will be different. Very, very different.

It’s not just Primus. Instead it’s being billed as “Primus & the Chocolate Factory” – obviously, simply a play off of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” or so I thought.

It’s actually the entire soundtrack of the 1971 Gene Wilder starring film “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” – performed live in concert. But you don’t have to wait until October 28 when they’re in Connecticut to hear it. You can stream it in it’s entirety right now.

And it’s totally crazy. Just listen to “Cheer Up Charlie” for an idea of what we’re in store for.

The tour starts October 22 – grab Waterbury tickets now.
