In the wee hours of this Friday morning, over at Kendall Elementary School in Norwalk, there were a couple of idiot teenagers who were trying to pull off quite the caper.

According to the Norwalk Police press release:

Patrol Officers from the 1st Platoon responded to an activated burglar alarm at Kendal Elementary School at 4:09 am this morning.

Upon their arrival they located burglary tools and a shopping cart beneath an open window. They then located and detained two people attempting to leave the school. During the investigation it was discovered that the two detainees had collected 22 laptop computers, cash and other items that they were going to steal from the school.

Based on the investigation Makenzie Pellini, 18, of 5 Rockmeadow Road, and Matthew White, 19, of 65 George Ave. were taken into custody at the scene.

Both were charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1500’ of a School, second-degree criminal trespass and conspiracy. Both were held on a $15,000 bond.

It was also learned that the pair had broken into a vehicle on Fillow St. and stolen items. They were also charged with Burglary 3rd, Larceny 4th and Conspiracy for this crime. White was brought to the Norwalk Court today and Pellini is due in court on Oct. 10, 2014.

See?
I told you they were idiots.

I mean, not only did they CLEARLY not think this little adventure in theft through, they also do it while carrying weed?

C’mon.

And not only that, even if they were able to pull it off, what in the hell were they going to do with that many laptops? Craigslist? EBay? 22 laptops aren’t something you’re going to be able to flip all that quick.

So let this be a lesson to any of you potential teenage Bonnie & Clyde’s out there in Connecticut.

Either think your plan through, or don’t try stealing in the first place.

Especially if it’s going to end up giving weed a bad name.
We’re starting to make strides!
