Marcus Camby was born in Hartford, CT. Camby was selected 2nd overall in the 1996 NBA by the Toronto Raptors. Camby spent his 19 year career with the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trailblazers, and the Houston Rockets. Camby was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year Award in the 2006-07 season. Camby currently ranks 50th all-time in total rebounds, 31st in defensive rebounds, and 48nd in offensive rebounds. Camby lead the league with most blocks three times and currently ranks 13th all-time in total blocks. In College in 1996 Camby won the NCAA Player of the Year Award, the First Team All-American, and the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year award. He had his number 21 retired by UMASS. Camby put up one of the most impressive careers for an NBA player from CT.
