Chris Drury comes in next as the best hockey player from CT coming out of Trumbull, CT. Chris Drury had a very solid and successful career in the NHL. He was the captain for the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers. Drury is a two time Olympic silver medalist. He won the Stanley Cup in 2001 with the Colorado Avalanche. Drury won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1999 which is the rookie of the year award. Drury is the only hockey player in history to win the Calder Memorial Trophy and the Hobey Baker Memorial award (MVP in college hockey for the season). Drury also holds the record of most goals in his career at Boston University (113) and the only player in Boston University history to have at least 100 goals and 100 assists in his career there. A little fun fact about Drury is that he also won the 1989 Little League World Series Championship game pitching a complete game also with two RBIs. Drury has proven that he is the best hockey player to ever come from CT.
