Yesterday morning, I’m doing my weekly ritual of drinking coffee on my couch and watching CBS Sunday Morning on Channel 3 WFSB. To answer your question, “Yes, that is, in fact, the show that your grandparents watch!”
I know that admitting that I watch it every week makes me sound like I’m a million years old, I’m telling you that it’s really great (and being that I was born in 1981, I was born in the year that overlaps the end of Generation X and the start of Millenials, so I can happily speak for both groups as to why you should watch it!) Seriously, you’ll learn a ton from this show every single episode. Take, for instance, what happened in Connecticut 85 years ago yesterday…
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find too much decent information online about Wilcox’s Pier Restaurant, aside from a bunch of postcards that people still have, it was a part of Savin Rock, the fact that it was simply massive and seated 700 people, and seemed to be the place to be. If you know of any sites that have any information, please feel free to share below.
And even if you don’t, the bottom line is you learned something today.
